Many of the students coming into St. Bakhita Secondary School are woefully behind in their reading, writing and math skills. The government primary school does a poor job of preparing the students for advancement. In order to succeed academically, the villagers need a primary school of their own to better prepare their children for high school. St. Josephine Bakhita Primary School is being built “brick by brick.” The Brick for Buck project has been launched to mirror this grass roots effort. Few people can afford to build a whole school, but most can buy a brick. With your support, the cycle of education can put an end to the cycle of poverty.
